Health & Work Environment Partner - Norway

Challenges you will work on
As our Health & Work Environment Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Norwegian Work Environment Act and all relevant Executive Orders. You will support leaders and work environment organizations within the departments you cover in maintaining and developing a safe and healthy workplace.
Examples of operational tasks:
- Supporting leaders in compliance with health and work environment legislation, including facilitating work environment meetings and contributing to systematic work environment efforts
- Registering, analyzing, and following up on work-related injuries, incidents, and risk assessments
- Training and onboarding colleagues in health and work environment matters
- Providing support during inspections from the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority and the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority
- Acting as an advisor and sparring partner to leaders, work environment organizations, and People & Culture partners
Examples of strategic tasks:
- Developing procedures and ways of working that enable strategic and cross-functional collaboration across work environment organizations in the Nordic countries
- Initiating and driving local projects, as well as contributing to the development of policies, training materials, and practical tools for leaders
- Implementing and communicating new health and work environment policies and initiatives
The Team
You will be a part of our Scandinavian health and work environment team, composed of passionate colleagues with various professional backgrounds. In our team, we set the overall strategic framework for health and work environment at SAS, while also supporting leaders and work environment organizations in their daily responsibilities. As a team we collaborate closely across countries, support each other and share knowledge generously. If there’s something you don’t know, one of your colleagues will likely have the answer or a new perspective.
To be successful, we believe you have
- Has minimum a few years of experience in the health and work environment field, preferably with knowledge of the aviation industry as well.
- We imagine that you hold a relevant educational background, for example a university degree within health and safety, occupational psychology, HR, or organizational development.
- Has experience with work environment legislation and collaboration across functions will be key to your success in this role.
- Is fluent in Norwegian (as you will be working with Norwegian legislation).
- Is proficient in English, as it is our corporate language – both in writing and in spoken contexts such as emails, meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

- Desired start date: 1st of May or 1st of June 2026
- Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 6-month probation period
- This position is based at our office in Norway located at Gardermoen Airport. You will be expected to work onsite, with the possibility of up to two days working from home, and occasional travel to other Nordic countries for team meetings and Scandinavian HWE gatherings.
- To be eligible for this position you need an EU-work permit. Please note that we ask you to inform us if you currently have a valid EU-work permit.
