SENIOR MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

SAS Technical Operations Norway Is based at Gardermoen, in addition to line stations in Stavanger and Trondheim. We perform technical maintenance on SAS` fleet of aircraft. In addition to aircraft maintenance, we also carry out modifications and larger repairs on our aircraft as needed. The technical base at OSL consist of approximately 200 employees with round-the-clock production, where the majority of work takes place at night. SAS Maintenance Production aims to deliver aircraft to SAS standards and in line with SAS DNA; Safety, Punctuality and Care. Safety is an obvious priority at SAS.

Position Overview

As a Trouble Shooter/ Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our aircraft during their time on the ground. You will be responsible for communication, troubleshooting, coordination, and ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating at its best and our passengers flying with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Aircraft on the ramp and arrange qualified staff to debrief aircrew when needed
  • Support Ramp/Technicians in resolving technical issues
  • Troubleshoot to avoid Unscheduled Downtime (UDT)
  • Escalate troubleshooting to Production Engineer/Maintenance support office whenever contact with CAMO, engineering, or manufacturing expertise is needed
  • Communicate and coordinate when Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and UDT issues occur at other stations
  • Monitor Exceedance and events messages
  • Monitor restrict list and ensure compliance
  • Support CUT monitoring delay matching
  • Start up/update AOG Event processes
  • Monitor mailbox for AGARS (aircraft communication addressing and reporting system) on the station and log slip for Line Stations
  • Ordering AOG parts as required
  • Handle cannibalization according to Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE)
  • Coordinate resources during shift in cooperation with Duty Manager/ Production Leader
  • Prepare for the next shift and ensure a smooth handover according to the standard

Additional responsibilities

  • Attend shift meetings to stay informed and engaged
  • Lead and direct the team that performs Aircraft Defect work
  • Act as a production instructor within complicated Aircraft system and equipment troubleshooting
  • Perform workshops, courses, and information sessions to raise technical competence among team members

Additional Information

The position as Maintenance Administration Coordinator is performed at the airport's security related area. A police certificate/certificate of good conduct without remarks must be approved by the aviation authorities. More information can be found at www.luftfartstilsynet.no.

 

Candidates must have resided within the EU for the past 5 years and be able to provide documented work history for the last 5 years. Fluency in Norwegian and good proficiency in English are also required. Drug and alcohol testing is required prior to employment.
