Are you our new Training and Apprentice Coordinator?

SAS Technical Operations Norway Is based at Gardermoen, in addition to line stations in Stavanger and Trondheim. We perform technical maintenance on SAS` fleet of aircraft. In addition to aircraft maintenance, we also carry out modifications and larger repairs on our aircraft as needed. The technical base at OSL consist of approximately 200 employees with round-the-clock production, where the majority of work takes place at night. SAS Maintenance Production aims to deliver aircraft to SAS standards and in line with SAS DNA; Safety, Punctuality and Care. Safety is an obvious priority at SAS. 

 

You will be part of the Resource Management Team responsible for resource planning for all work carried out at SAS' hangars at Oslo, Stavanger, and Trondheim airports. Our responsibility is to ensure that SAS Maintenance Production Norway is properly staffed with the right number of aircraft technicians and mechanics, and that they possess the correct qualifications. You will be based at SAS Technical Base at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and will report to the Production Manager OSL.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Planning and following up on training and courses to ensure that our aircraft technicians and mechanics are always qualified to perform the required production.
  • Working on skill development for all employees and ensuring long-term competence development.
  • Responsible for the apprenticeship program and follow-up of apprentices at SAS Technical, with support from apprenticeship mentors for professional guidance.
  • Planning courses in collaboration with SAS’ training department.
  • Assisting operational management with daily follow-up on shift schedules.
  • Collecting documentation related to the department's KPIs.
  • Assisting with planning for additional shifts and projects as needed.
  • Collaborating closely with various internal departments, unions, management, and production bases at OSL/ARN/CPH.
  • Assisting with the recruitment of technical personnel.

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, administration, or other relevant experience from the aviation industry or other technical environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in resource and shift planning.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with laws and agreements related to working hours, including shift agreements in Norway.
  • Strong skills in organization, planning, and time management.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify necessary actions.
  • Proficient in both Norwegian and English, with high-level verbal and written skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Candidates must have resided within the EU for the past 5 years and be able to provide documented work history for the last 5 years. Fluency in Norwegian and good proficiency in English are also required. Drug and alcohol testing is required prior to employment.
