Duty Manager (nightshift) – SAS Technical Operations, Copenhagen Airport


Are you a natural leader with a strong background in aviation maintenance and operations? SAS is looking for a Duty Manager to join our Technical Department at Copenhagen Airport. Key Responsibilities

As Duty Manager, you will:

 

Lead and Develop People

  • Inspire, coach, and lead a team of highly skilled technicians.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor training needs and ensure competence development and recurrent training compliance.
  • Apply for and manage authorizations and approvals for your team.

 

Ensure Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Assign work and appoint Responsible Certifying Staff (RCS) to the maintenance event based on skills, authorizations, and human factors.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources, tools, and equipment to optimize maintenance operations and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with flight operations, maintenance control and logistics to ensure seamless operation.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers and adherence to handover procedures.

 

Drive Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all activities comply with EASA Part 145, Part M, and SAS’s Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
  • Address technical issues promptly and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and keep them informed of deviations.

To be succesful, we believe you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance or technical operations
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role or have demonstrated strong leadership skills and attitude towards SAS Leadership model (Lead Yourself, Lead Others, Lead SAS).
  • Strong knowledge of civil aviation regulations EASA Part 145 and Part M.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with lean management and continuous improvement.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Other of Importance

  • This is a full-time shift-based position (night shift) located in our Hangar in Copenhagen Airport.
  • The role is covered by the Lederne Luftfart (LH) collective agreement.
  • Application deadline: 30th September 2025.
  • Start date: As soon as possible

 

In order to work in a safety-restricted area of an airport, you much both be accredited by the police and have an approved background check.
