MCC ENGINEER
Maintenance Control (MCC) Engineer
Do you thrive in dynamic environments where every decision counts? Are you motivated by problem-solving and ensuring safe, punctual operations? If so, the MCC Engineer role at SAS might be the perfect fit for you.
As an MCC Engineer, you will be part of SAS’ Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) within the Maintenance Operation Control (MOC) department. You will serve as a technical support function for our maintenance organizations and crew, ensuring the continued airworthiness of the SAS fleet.
Challenges you will work on
In this exciting and fast-paced role, you will act as the single point of contact for AOG recovery outside SAS’ main maintenance bases. You will plan, coordinate, and secure aircraft recovery together with MOC functions and Part-145 organizations. You will provide technical advice and support to licensed aircraft engineers and crew in handling operational technical matters. At the same time, you will monitor aircraft systems and take necessary action to resolve issues as they arise.
Another key responsibility is to manage deferred defects reported from outstations across the SAS network. You will also ensure that all mandatory documentation is handled in line with regulatory requirements. Collaboration is an important part of the role. You will work across departments to develop and optimize procedures related to MCC and MOC operations. Above all, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient daily operation of the SAS fleet.
To be successful, we believe you have
- Aircraft Technician/Engineering degree (EASA Part-66 or equivalent, preferably with type ratings on SAS operating aircraft).
-
Solid knowledge of civil aviation regulations (EASA Part-145 and Part-M).
-
Experience with maintenance management information systems (AMOS experience is an advantage).
-
Strong understanding of technical operations, maintenance planning, and processes.
-
Experience from complex organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
-
Excellent communication skills in English (Scandinavian language skills are an advantage).
-
Ability to make sound judgments in a fast-changing and dynamic environment.
-
Strong planning, problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
