Payroll System Specialist (Denmark)

Challenges you will work on

 

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with strong knowledge of Danish payroll and an interest in payroll systems and continuous improvement. In this role, you will contribute with your payroll expertise while further developing your system knowledge in a complex, international organization.

 

  • Payroll system support: Support payroll system-related matters and queries, ensuring compliance with Danish laws, collective agreements, and internal policies. Contribute to accurate payroll calculations and reliable data across payroll and HR systems.
  • Payroll process management: Work with end-to-end payroll processes, including tax compliance, deductions, and timely payroll runs. Participate in system testing, releases, and updates linked to regulatory or agreement changes.
  • Continuous improvement: Contribute to improving payroll routines and processes, and support initiatives such as the implementation of a new case management system.
  • Project involvement: Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives, with the opportunity to take responsibility for specific tasks or improvement areas.

The Team 

 

Our Payroll team in Denmark, is an important part of the Rewards & People Services. We strive for an efficient organization through harmonization, standardization, and simplification as well as maintaining a high level of service to our colleagues who are both in the air and on the ground. 

To be successful, we believe you have

 

  • Solid experience in payroll and payroll-related systems, built over a few years, with strong knowledge of Danish payroll regulations. Experience from SAP or other payroll/HR systems is an advantage, and we value a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Experience in working with payroll processes and contributing to improvements or automation, preferably within HR or payroll administration.
  • Good understanding of Danish compliance, labor laws, collective agreements, and tax regulations.
  • Strong English skills and the ability to work effectively in an international and cross-border environment within Scandinavia.
  • It is a plus if you have experience from a larger or more complex organization, as well as interest in or exposure to case management systems, which we will be introducing in the future.

  • Desired start date: 01st of February 2026
  • Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 3-month probation period
  • This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark at our current office at Amager Strandvej 392, 2770 Kastrup, though we will soon move to new renovated facilities at Copenhagen Airport. You will be expected to work onsite, with the possibility of up to two days working from home.
