PRODUCTION ANALYST
Planning Specialist
As a Ground Planning Specialist you are responsible for making it possible to allocate the right number of people, at the right time and with the right qualification.

In this exciting and dynamic role, you work both with demand calculations and the balance between staff and demand to ensure schedules which cover the operational needs. Keeping a close collaboration with colleagues within the planning process, managers and frontline staff is key to a successful delivery.
The Team
Recourse management is a department responsible for planning our crew and ground handling staff. Ground Rostering is a function within the department responsible for rostering of all operational departments in SAS Ground Handling Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Including Check in, Gate, Ramp, Baggage sorting, Ticket Office, Arrival Services etc. Our team is based at Arlanda, Gardermoen and Kastrup.
To be successful, we believe you have:
A strong interest in the airline industry and enjoy working close to daily operations while also taking responsibility for long-term tasks and strategic projects. You are comfortable working in complex planning systems and bring a system-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn. You have the ability to understand optimization principles and can balance detailed analysis with maintaining an overall perspective.
Experience and background:
• A Master’s and/or Engineering degree, preferably within Logistics, Transport, or Economics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Basic knowledge of simulation and optimization.
• Basic programming skills are an advantage, but not required.
Personal qualities:
You are analytical, structured, and curious, with a genuine interest in understanding how systems and processes work. You communicate clearly and effectively—both within the team and in interactions with unions and managers.
