WE ARE LOOKING FOR SAS CARGO’S NEW CARGO AIR FREIGHT BUSINESS PRODUCT MANAGER

SAS Cargo has been successful in capturing the growth in the market and is an enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. To ensure that SAS Cargo further adapts to new market reality and embraces new opportunities, we are now seeking to fill the position of Air Freight Business Product Manager, a key role in SAS Cargo future growth. We have several strategic initiatives in our pipeline that need to develop further. 

As a Air Freight Business Cargo Product Manager, you will be part of the commercial team. The commercial team is responsible for offering a competitive cargo network, relevant products, and competitive rates on SAS’ (and partners) capacity, and your contribution will be key in developing and implementing our future strategy but also the being the go-to person for daily product related issues and management. The role is new in SAS Cargo. 

You will report to the Head of Commercial, working closely with other units in SAS Cargo, such as Global Sales, Operations and Strategic Business Development.
 

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

•    You’ll take full ownership and steering of SAS Cargo’s Air Freight products, this includes managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch
•    You’ll critically assess and determine what core products and ancillary services to offer to SAS Cargo’s target customer segments and ensure a clear Product Strategy for SAS Cargo.  
•    You will ensure internal alignment of air freight product strategy, performance and required actions to optimize product performance and business success.
•    You will decide air freight product offerings on our operated airports based on operational risks, delivery limitations and/or profitability.
•    You will ensure product changes are coordinated, communicated and implemented internally and externally.
•    You will conduct profitability analysis, develop business cases and decision materials, and recommend to how SAS Cargo can optimize its earnings.
•    You will present recommendations to SAS Cargo management team for strategic decision making and strategic planning.

•    You can bridge customer needs to air freight product portfolio.
•    You have a strong business acumen, attention to detail, strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving problems; ability to bridge the gap between business, technology and operation
•    You are able to build trust with key stakeholders to align multiple teams and deliver on strategic initiatives; experience of working with internal and external stakeholders 
•    You have ability to thrive in an operational environment, along with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and the conviction to drive them to completion
•    You have good organization skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, multi-task and prioritize 
•    You have good verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly communicate your product vision in simple and easy to understand language for a broad audience, including senior management as well as colleagues from within and outside the team 
•    You have experience with Supply Chain, Logistics or Aviation
•    You like to solve problems and bring a customer focused perspective 
•    You love to get involved, take lead, and align across multiple stakeholders
•    You have hands-on attitude, performance troubleshooting motivates you 
•    You are fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages and mater English on negotiation level

Our offices are in the AMAGERSTRAND complex close to Copenhagen Airport.
