Senior Regulatory& Public Affairs Manager

If so, the Senior Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager role might be the perfect fit for you! As SAS’s regulatory expert, you will ensure compliance while proactively influencing industry standards and policy developments.

Challenges you will work on

In this exciting and dynamic role, you will:
•    Monitor and interpret new or changing international and national regulations affecting passenger rights, consumer protection, and airline operations.
•    Coordinate SAS’s engagement with policymakers, authorities, and industry stakeholders, ensuring the company’s interests are represented effectively.
•    Lead internal implementation of new regulations, IATA resolutions, and industry standards across functions such as Legal, Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service.
•    Represent SAS in IATA Passenger Standards activities and other industry forums, aligning SAS’s positions with broader aviation developments.
•    Prepare regulatory briefings, risk assessments, and impact analyses to guide strategic decisions.

The Team

You will be part of the Communication, Public Affairs & Sustainability department, within the People organization. Our team values professionalism, curiosity, and collaboration. We work together to ensure SAS operates safely, compliantly, and efficiently in an evolving regulatory environment.

To be successful, we believe you have

•    University degree in Law, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
•    Solid understanding of the aviation industry or regulatory processes.
•    Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
•    Fluent in one Scandinavian language and excellent command of English.
•    High integrity, proactive mindset, and ability to manage both details and strategic implications.
•    A strong interest in aviation, infrastructure, politics, and economics.
