STUDENT ASSISTANT - CORPORATE INSURANCE
Student Assistant - Corporate Insurance
SAS Corporate Insurance is seeking two third-year students (5th–6th semester) to join the team on a part-time basis (approximately 15 hours per week).
SAS Corporate Insurance is the centralized insurance function within the SAS Group, responsible for managing the Group’s aviation insurance program as well as a broad range of non-personnel-related insurance policies, including property and motor vehicles. The team also manages claims across all insurance areas and provides expert support in contract negotiations related to liability, indemnification, and insurance matters.

In this role, you will support insurance-related activities across the SAS Group, working with a wide range of stakeholders and business areas. You will be involved in both operational and administrative tasks, contributing to the day-to-day management of insurance matters while building a solid understanding of corporate insurance in an international environment.
The position is part-time (approximately 15 hours per week), with flexible working hours that can be adapted to your academic schedule, including during holidays and exam periods. Working hours are coordinated together with another student in the team.
This is a fixed-term position of approximately two years. While there is currently no possibility of extension, the role offers valuable experience and insight into a global organization.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing daily incident reports and maintaining the case management system
- Registering, tracking, and following up on claims, as well as coordinating submissions to insurers or liable parties
- Gathering and preparing supporting documentation for claims
- Managing renewal information and insurance certificates
- Handling invoicing and other administrative tasks
- Supporting a variety of administrative and operational tasks as needed
The Team
You will be part of a small and close-knit team of three, where collaboration and a hands-on approach are key to getting the work done. The team works cross-functionally with a broad range of internal stakeholders, giving you valuable insight into different parts of the business. Both positions offer strong opportunities for development, with exposure to all areas of the department and the chance to take on a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities over time.
To be successful, we believe you have
- Currently studying a relevant university program (e.g. Law, Economics, Business), preferably in your 5th–6th semester, with approximately 2 years remaining of your studies
- Fluent in at least one Scandinavian language and proficient in English
- A strong academic track record is considered an advantage
- Previous work experience or involvement in extracurricular activities is considered an advantage
As a person, you are structured and detail-oriented, able to prioritize effectively and follow through on tasks with accuracy. You take ownership of your work and ensure it is completed to a high standard. Comfortable working independently, you also know when to ask questions and seek input. With a curious mindset and a genuine eagerness to learn, you actively build your skills and understanding.
