BASE MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Short Description
The Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Continued Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) comprises over 130 professionals responsible for ensuring the continued airworthiness of our aircraft fleet. It performs a wide variety of tasks including engineering, planning and managing operations and supplier contracts.
We are expanding our team and seeking a qualified individual for the role of Base Maintenance Planner. This role offers the opportunity to work with one of Europe's most modern fleets—including Airbus A320-NEO, A330, and A350—alongside a skilled team dedicated to maintaining high standards of airworthiness.
The role is based at SAS headquarters in Frösundavik, Solna, in the Greater Stockholm area.
Purpose
As a Base Maintenance Planner, you will report to the Base Maintenance Planning Manager and be responsible for planning maintenance in compliance with EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145, and operational requirements to ensure the airworthiness, safety, and efficiency of SAS's fleet..
Key responsibilities include monitoring continued airworthiness, reviewing maintenance forecasts, scheduling work packages, assigning tasks, and performing other maintenance planning activities.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the aviation industry, preferably in continued airworthiness management and base maintenance operations. However, we also welcome applications from individuals aspiring to enter the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities
Plan maintenance in an airworthy, safe, and economical condition in compliance with the regulations imposed through EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145 and Ops and National Aviation Authority
Monitoring, analyzing and planning of tasks from the task due list, including maintenance program tasks, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, MEL items and replacement of components of an aircraft
Scheduling work packages and assignment of individual maintenance tasks
Coordination of activities pre- and post-maintenance event
Ensuring that the availability of resources, tools and materials are secured for the maintenance even
Conducting post-production planning activities
Review the performance of the service provider and provide feedback and drive improvement in terms of maintenance completion time, cost or other areas of the maintenance event.
Experience
Good knowledge and experience from commercial air transport (CAT) industry
Good knowledge and experience from continued airworthiness management tasks / organization
Good knowledge and experience from working with one or more of the aircraft types operated by SAS
An educational background in a technical field or relevant work experience
Knowledge of EASA aviation regulations (EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145)
Knowledge of planning, controlling, and managing Maintenance Program tasks, including ETOPS, Critical Task, CDCCL, and other relevant requirements and standards related to maintenance planning.
Safety awareness and experience from using Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Experience from Swiss AS Amos MRO Software
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Problem solving skills
Self-motivated
Flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel as it might be necessary for short or long-term assignments.
A high proficiency in English, both written and oral, a knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a benefit, but not required.
