Business Controller

SAS and SAS Finance are undergoing a transformational phase, presenting a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s future. As a Business Controller, you will work closely with stakeholders across various departments outside Finance.
In this position, you will act as a business partner, helping SAS achieve both strategic and tactical goals while driving cost and revenue efficiency initiatives. Your focus will include short-term financial planning (within the budget year) and long-term projects that strengthen SAS’s competitiveness. You will also analyse and present business performance, support business case development, and oversee cost-saving initiatives.
Challenges you will work on
• Provide financial support to the management team.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including analysis and conclusions.
• Manage financial reporting, covering performance, budget, and management reports.
• Develop and refine KPIs, decision-support tools, and profitability analyses.
• Drive cost-efficiency and operational improvements across SAS.
• Support negotiations with unions, suppliers, and customers through benchmarking and analyses.
• Enhance reporting systems and tools for improved operational monitoring.
• Educate and support managers to strengthen financial understanding and oversight.

To be successful, we believe you have
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Control, consulting, or Big 4 background.
• Proven expertise in stakeholder management and working with senior leaders.
• Experience in a high-paced, operational environment with multiple interfaces.
• Strong integrity and the ability to challenge and contribute valuable insights.
• A university degree in finance, economics, or a related field (minimum Bachelor’s level).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Anaplan).
• Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken.
