As a Crew Controller at SAS, you’ll step right into the heart of our operational activities. Here, you make a difference every day by ensuring the right crew is in the right place at the right time. You’ll work close to the action – in our Operations Control Center (OCC) – where, together with experienced colleagues, you’ll handle daily challenges and find solutions that keep SAS flying. Challenges you will work on:
As a Crew Controller, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and securing crew staffing for SAS flights at all hours of the day and night, in accordance with collective agreements, aviation authority regulations (OM-A), and SAS internal guidelines. You’ll help drive punctuality, regularity, and cost-efficiency through smart planning, quick problem-solving, and close collaboration with other functions within OCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational staffing of SAS flights during ongoing operations
- Recovery during traffic irregularities
- Handling reroutings and diversions
- Staffing for extra production and commercial special requests
- Ensuring correct service staffing according to the traffic program
- Applying regulatory and company policies
To be successful, we believe you have:
- Documented experience in personnel planning within operational environments.
- Understanding of and experience with collective agreements in staffing.
- Strong computer skills and experience with operational support systems.
- Completed upper secondary education or equivalent.
- Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish).
Additionally, the following experience is considered an advantage:
- Experience working in an Operations Control Centre (OCC) environment.
- Familiarity with SAS internal manuals and policies.
- Proficiency in additional Scandinavian languages.
- Strong knowledge of aviation authority regulations, including OM-A.

- Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 6-month probation period.
- This position is based in Frösundavik, Solna (Stockholm), and you will be expected to work onsite. Remote work may also be an option, depending on the agreement made with your manager.
