Crew Schedule Optimizer

Do you get energy from transforming complexity into clarity? If so, the role of Crew Schedule Optimizer may be the perfect fit for you! As part of our Resource Management team, you will help design efficient, high quality schedules for SAS crew—supporting both daily operations and our long term strategic direction.

Challenges you will work on

In this exciting and dynamic role, you will work with cutting edge scheduling technology from Jeppesen to create optimized crew rotations and monthly schedules for pilots and/or cabin crew. You will handle the intricate balance between productivity, crew well being, safety, and regulatory compliance.
You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to set goals, improve processes, and ensure robust and transparent planning. You will also contribute to forecasting, traffic program optimization, and continuous improvements that strengthen operational resilience across SAS.

Together, we ensure that up to 800 flights per day are staffed with professionalism, accuracy, and care. To be successful, we believe you have

•    A university degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, economics, data science, logistics, or similar.
•    Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail oriented approach.
•    Comfort working with Excel and PowerPoint.
•    Fluency in one Scandinavian language and good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
•    A curious mindset and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.


Bonus experience (not required):
•    Familiarity with Boeing/Jeppesen CMS (Crew Management System).
•    Previous experience in aviation or crew planning.

Depending on your background, you may enter the role as either Junior Crew Schedule Optimizer or Crew Schedule Optimizer. Junior colleagues may be promoted after completing 12 planning cycles (approximately one year).

•    Senior Crew Schedule Optimizer – for those who want to deepen their technical and strategic expertise.

Additional Information

•    Deadline for application:27/02/2026. 
•    Position: Full time (100%), starting with a 6 month probation period.
•    Location: Frösundavik, Solna (Stockholm). Onsite work required, with possible remote work based on agreement with manager.
