About the team
We are a central machine learning team that collaborates closely with stakeholders across various business units, identifying business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through advanced analytics.
We work with diverse machine learning projects, collaborate and contribute to the machine learning practice to ensure that we have a solid foundation for SAS to scale and realize the full potential of machine learning.
We are now strengthening our team with an experienced Data Scientist focused primarily on optimization projects within Revenue Management and Network, enhancing our advanced analytics capabilities to drive continuous business optimization.
Data Scientist - Focused on Revenue Management and Network Optimization
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Commercial team, collaborating with Data Analysts and System Specialists on cross-functional initiatives within Revenue Management and Network.
Your primary responsibilities will include translating business questions into analytical requirements and actionable data science use cases, developing and maintaining machine learning models, and applying innovative analytical approaches to drive business value.
You’ll bring a fresh perspective to problem-solving by exploring advanced analytical techniques to address business challenges and uncover valuable insights. Your contributions will strengthen our data-driven approach, building a foundation for SAS to scale and unlock the full potential of machine learning.

To be successful, we believe you should have:
- Master’s Degree or higher with strong mathematics focus (Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Optimization, Computer Science) or related field.
- At least 3 years of industry experience within Data science domain
- Proven record of taking on loosely defined problems and translating into practical application
- Strong mathematical background (e.g., linear algebra, calculus, statistics, optimization)
- More than 3 years’ experience with Python, SQL and popular machine/deep learning libraries
- Proficient with statistical- and machine learning models (both supervised learning and unsupervised learning)
- Well-versed in cloud computing, prior experience with Azure is a big plus
