Flight Operations Controller

If so, the role of Flight Operations Controller at our Operation Control Center (OCC) could be your perfect fit. We’re seeking a dedicated Flight Operation Controller to join our dynamic team.
 

Key Responsibilities

•    Ensure the stability and optimal execution of SAS's traffic program in alignment with the company´s commercial and operational strategies.
•    Adhere to security procedures and requirements.
•    Continuously optimize the utilization of the aircraft fleet within the designated traffic area.
•    Oversee production control for SAS air traffic, including monitoring and implementing all traffic decisions within a 72-hour timeframe. 
•    Ensure the highest levels of safety, punctuality, and regularity in the traffic program by coordinating solution proposals and priorities with various SAS stakeholders, platforms, and wet lease operators.
•    Follow SAS's Traffic Execution Policy to provide the best possible conditions for unit delivery. 
•    In the event of traffic and operational disruptions, develop, propose, and implement solutions to achieve recovery as quickly as possible, considering safety and commercial factors.
 

Experience

In addition to above, we seek a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualities:
•    At least five years of experience working in a fast-paced, minute-to-minute environment within the industry.
•    Experience in traffic coordination.
•    Completion of a 3-year science upper secondary school program or equivalent.
•    Strong knowledge and a keen interest in safety and regulatory requirements for SAS's operations.
•    Strong operational orientation and a good sense of logistics.
•    Flexible working style with excellent ability to prioritize and make decisions, even under pressure. 
•    Excellent collaboration skills.
•    Creative and energetic, with a solution-oriented approach. 
•    Excellent proficiency in English and Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a good understanding of other Scandinavian languages, as these are used in daily work. 

Other valuable experience
•    Flight Operator/Commercial Pilot License.
•    Knowledge of meteorology, aerodynamics, and aircraft performance.
•    Experience in technical, crew and/or fleet planning/traffic program planning.
•    Familiarity with SAS's manuals, production apparatus, and processes.

•    This position requires passing a security test, including a background check. 
•    The role involves working in three shifts. 
•    This position is based in Frösundavik, Solna (Stockholm).
•    Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 6 months’ probation period.
