HEAD OF COMPLIANCE MONITORING
Head of Compliance Monitoring
We are currently looking for a Head of Compliance Monitoring, to lead the team planning, managing, and maintaining the EASA and IOSA compliance program for all of SAS, ensuring effective oversight, and verification of operational safety, security and quality standards.
The role will report directly to Head of Central Safety, Security and Compliance and be part of that leadership team.
Challenges you will work on
• Leading a team of 15–20 dedicated auditors.
• Provide scheduled and ad hoc auditing services to all of SAS.
• Liaise and collaborate with relevant stakeholders across SAS to ensure the effective interfacing and implementation of Safety, Security and Compliance activities, including standards assurance and departmental oversight programmes.
• Confirm Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), ensuring actions from audit findings are tracked and effectively implemented, with diligent follow up.
• Prepare compliance and audit reports for management and identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in cross functional meetings and decision making processes to ensure consistent application and implementation of compliance standards across the group.
• Manage resource planning and scheduling.
• Maintain required competencies and help team members to grow professionally and in alignment with organizational goals.
You will be working closely with Compliance Monitoring Managers in all parts of SAS to effectively communicate audit results, compliance status, and corrective action needs.
You will liaise with IOSA auditors and other external partners to ensure audit compliance and maintain SAS’ position on the IOSA registry, and ensure that findings, trends, and action plans are clearly documented and communicated to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
The Team
You will be part of the Central Safety, Security and Compliance leadership team and lead a highly specialized Compliance Monitoring organization supporting all parts of SAS.
To be successful in this role, we believe you should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced training or certification in auditing to ISO 9001 or equivalent methodologies.
• Lead Auditor training.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality assurance or regulatory compliance. Concrete experience in audit and inspection roles within aviation is preferred.
• Experience in planning and conducting safety, operational, or regulatory audits.
• Proven experience in leadership, team management, and project coordination.
• Broad understanding of IOSA standards, audit principles, and industry best practices.
• Ability to oversee and manage complex audit programs.

• Strong English skills both spoken and in writing. Scandinavian language ability will be beneficial but not a requirement.
