HEAD OF DIGITAL SALES
Short Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Sales to lead SAS's Direct Digital-to-Consumer revenue through our web and app sales activities. This role is pivotal in shaping our Digital Sales strategy, driving customer engagement, and achieving revenue growth through e-commerce best practices.
Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to enhance SAS's Digital Sales capabilities by adding commercial value and facilitating revenue growth. You will be responsible for optimizing digital sales through analytics, conversion rate optimization, personalization, SEO, experimentation, and the overall development of the digital customer experience. This will be achieved in close collaboration with our commercial and Digital/IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SAS Digital Sales strategy and capability center to drive customer and revenue growth.
- Develop in-house Digital Sales capabilities, focusing on measurement, tracking, personalization, conversion rate optimization, experimentation, privacy, and user experience (UX) development.
- Ensure the commercial delivery of SAS Digital sold revenue in alignment with established targets.
Competencies:
- Fast-track enabler who fosters consensus across business units while ensuring efficient and effective speed-to-market initiatives.
- Operational knowledge of digital/e-commerce technology and analytics tools, including GA4, CDPs, CMS platforms, CRO tools, and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, Azure ML) is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of the international e-commerce and digital landscape.
- Proficiency in digital merchandising and exploration of Generative AI applications for commercial growth.
- 8-10 years of e-commerce experience, including leadership roles in multi-market environments, client management, or consultancy.

- Ability to balance strategic and conceptual thinking with the execution needed to launch initiatives quickly.
- Strong team player, adaptable to a rapidly changing digital and customer environment.
- Proven management skills from leading international projects with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience, including leadership positions within commercial disciplines.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields is preferred.
