Head of Medical Leads
We are looking for a Head of our Medical Lead function, to support the Crew Management in our three AOCs; SAS Scandinavia, SAS Connect & SAS Link. This is a newly created role, to organize and streamline the way we work and our delivery within this area. You will be analyzing, providing and deliver data and KPIs to follow up crew sick leave and absence, and work closely together with relevant stakeholders across Scandinavia, such as local Crew Managers and local HR, as well as Company health service, AMEs and relevant authorities. The Medical Leads in each country will report to you, and you will have the personnel responsibility for these as well as the ultimate responsibility for the delivery towards the base management and AOCs.
Our Medical Leads play a pivotal role within Operations, and support Crew Managers with sickness follow up, to ensure that SAS delivers and follows up on laws, regulations and internal policies as well as ensuring low sickness levels.
We are looking for a competent, engaged and solution-oriented individual to join us and embark on this challenging task with us. The position can be based in either Oslo, Stockholm or Copenhagen and will report directly to the VP Airline Operations and be part of his management team.
The Head of Medical Leads will:
- Analyze, develop and coordinate data, monitor progress and track KPIs across our platforms and countries.
- Support the Crew Management in working proactively to reduce crew sick leave and absence and facilitate for a faster return to service.
- Ensure that Crew Managers follow up on relevant laws and regulations when it comes to sick leave follow up within SAS Crew Services.
- Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with and on strategic objectives.
- Lead and oversee key improvement projects related to sick leave follow up.
- Work proactively and put focus on preventive measures.
- Lead and guide our Medical Leads in SE, NO and DK and streamline (as much as possible, with the various regulations and directives in each country in mind) the way we work across the bases.
- Secure the support to Leaders in the AOC for them to be able to effectively manage their responsibilities to the staff.
Qualifications:
- Higher academic education in relevant area, such as HR, business development or management, or analytical background.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience in developing processes and working with KPI and data delivery.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, including the ability to compile data, identify and clarify issues, and present well-founded conclusions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language.
- Ability to work with both short term and long term activities, goals and perspectives.
