Nominated Person Crew Training

In this position, you will play a central role in managing and supervising crew training, ensuring that all Flight and Cabin Crew are fully prepared to deliver safe and efficient operations.

Role:

In this exciting and high-impact role, you will be delegated the authority and responsibility for the management and supervision of all crew training at SAS Link. You will:

  • Oversee the development, execution, and quality of all crew training programs in accordance with SAS standards, EASA regulations, and requirements from local authorities.
  • Promote and safeguard safety across all training operations, making decisions regarding risk tolerability in relation to safety and security.
  • Supervise both internal and subcontracted training organizations, ensuring quality and consistency of training delivery.
  • Appoint and prepare instructors for Flight and Cabin Crew training.
  • Maintain training records and ensure all crew members hold valid and current licenses.
  • Stay updated on company notices and procedures affecting Flight and Cabin Crew.
  • Carry out delegated duties from the Nominated Person Ground Operations (NPGO) and Nominated Person Continuous Airworthiness (NPCA).

You will be the nominated person (NP) in accordance with ORO.GEN.210(b), reporting directly to the VD/Accountable Manager.

The Team


You will join the SAS Flight Operations organization and collaborate with a dedicated group of instructors, training professionals, and operational leaders. To be successful, we believe you have

 

  • Managerial competency and appropriate technical/operational qualifications in aviation.
  • A background as a Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and Type Rating Examiner (TRE), with practical experience applying aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of EASA regulations and associated requirements.

  • Familiarity with Compliance Monitoring, Safety Management, and Security Management Systems.

  • At least five years of relevant work experience, of which two should be within the aeronautical industry in a comparable role.

  • Demonstrated management experience in a similar organization.

Additional information

  • Position: Full-time (100%), starting with a six-month probation period.

  • Location: One of our main bases (STO/CPH/OSL). The role requires presence in Stockholm (Arlanda and Frösundavik) at least two days per week on average.

  • Background check: As this role is security classified, a background check will be conducted at the final stage of recruitment.
