Duty Manager

Challenges you will work on

In this critical operational role, you will:
•    Supervise the daily operation and actively manage the flight schedule to ensure the best possible customer experience.
•    Ensure schedule integrity and optimization in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
•    Balance financial, customer, and operational considerations when making decisions during disruptions.
•    Establish and maintain strong working relationships and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
•    Mentor, coach, develop, and appraise OCC direct reports to maximize performance and engagement.
•    Identify and analyze adverse operational trends and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational standards.
•    Ensure a collaborative working environment with accurate and continuous information flow across stakeholders.
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable business, legislative, and aviation regulatory requirements to maintain a safe operation.
•    Coordinate day to day staffing within the Operations Control Center.
•    Work closely with Airline IT to ensure operational readiness during unplanned system issues or outages.
•    Lead daily operational meetings to ensure clear and precise handover between shifts.
•    Initiate applicable procedures in emergency situations in accordance with the company Emergency Response Manual.
The role reports to the Vice President OCC & Punctuality.

To be successful, we believe you have

•    Minimum 5 years of experience in an aviation operations environment or similar role.
•    Flight Dispatch license or equivalent Flight Operations experience is meritorious but not required.
•    Strong ability to build trustful relationships and engage stakeholders across functions.
•    A proactive mindset with a positive, solution oriented approach.
•    Excellent mentoring and coaching skills.
•    Good knowledge of IASA and CAA regulations.
•    Strong planning, analytical, and problem solving capabilities.
•    Ability to multitask and remain calm and objective during high pressure situations.
•    Confidence to delegate, set clear direction, make decisions, and manage workflow.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    High integrity, commitment to excellence, and a strong service mindset.
