Product Manager Commerce Media

SAS is scaling its commerce media capabilities across digital and inflight channels, creating a unique opportunity to help build and shape a growing business area where we are looking for a Product Manager to drive the new area of Commerce Media. A key part of this journey is the development of new inflight advertising experiences enabled by high-speed Starlink connectivity, opening entirely new ways to create value, optimize ad delivery, and unlocking significant new revenue streams in the air.

Challenges you will work on

As Product Manager for Commerce Media, you will translate commercial strategy into product execution by owning and evolving the roadmap and backlog in a fast-moving environment. You will work closely with Digital/IT, Brand & Marketing, Partnerships, Digital Sales, Inflight, and Analytics to align priorities and deliver on shared goals. You will also manage and improve SAS’s ad tech setup, including inventory, targeting, and how workflows are set up between internal teams and external Ad Ops.

You will lead the work to develop and scale Starlink-enabled inflight advertising, including defining how ads are set up, used, and improved to increase usage and revenue over time. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape and build the full media commerce strategy for SAS, defining how we scale, optimize, and unlock long-term value across all channels.

This is a 14-month fixed-term role, with the potential for extension based on the continued success of the project.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and prioritize the roadmap and backlog, and ensure ongoing delivery of key initiatives
  • Lead development of Starlink-based inflight advertising, from setup to scaled use
  • Improve how inventory is used and how ads are targeted and delivered across digital and inflight channels
  • Work with pricing and ad formats to support revenue growth across platforms
  • Manage the ad tech setup, including inventory, targeting, and workflows across teams and Ad Ops
  • Define KPIs, follow up on performance, and use data to make improvements
  • Lead testing and QA of new features to ensure stable and reliable releases
  • Support internal teams with clear documentation and ways of working
  • Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency and commercial output

The Team

You’ll join a growing Digital Sales team within eCommerce, responsible for driving digital revenue through performance marketing, optimization of our web and app channels, SEO/SEM, and data-driven analytics. We work closely with Digital/IT, Brand & Marketing, Partnerships, Inflight, and Analytics, and the wider Commercial organization to deliver aligned, high-impact initiatives. Together, we’re building a modern and scalable digital ecosystem that supports SAS’s global commercial goals.

To be successful, we believe you have

  • Experience within commerce media, ad-tech, or digital advertising, with a strong focus on monetization and data-driven products
  • Experience in a product role (e.g. Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar), ideally in a data- or revenue-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience defining KPIs, tracking performance, and driving decisions based on data
  • A solid understanding of digital advertising, including inventory, targeting, and campaign delivery
  • Experience translating business needs into product requirements, user stories, and roadmaps
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams such as Tech, Analytics, and Commercial stakeholders
  • Experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Looker, or similar
  • Hands-on experience with ad tech platforms such as ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, or retail media platforms

It’s a plus if you also have

  • Familiarity with QA, testing, and product delivery processes
  • Experience working closely with Sales or revenue-focused teams

As a person, we believe you are structured, analytical, and comfortable bringing clarity to complex environments. You are a strong collaborator who can align multiple stakeholders and communicate in a clear and pragmatic way. You have a problem-solving mindset and are comfortable handling both strategic and operational challenges. In a fast-moving environment, you prioritize effectively, stay organized, and drive steady progress with a strong focus on delivery and impact.
