Product Owner

Loyalty Solutions at SAS Digital & IT is looking for a Product Owner. 

 

As Product Owner your main responsibilities will be to: 

  • Translate business needs and requirements into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications. 
  • Work in close partnership with the Business Product Manager(s) to align product vision, roadmap, and priorities across the assigned product portfolio. 
  • Own the digital scope of the product, ensuring alignment with UX, UI, security, accessibility, and platform standards. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master on sprint ceremonies and team ways of working, contributing to planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, QA, and DevOps to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality deliveries. 
  • Continuously monitor customer feedback, analytics, and technical performance to drive iterative product improvements. 
  • Coordinate the resolution of technical debt and ensure long-term maintainability of digital solutions. 
  • Prioritize and manage the digital product backlog in sync with the Business Product Manager(s) and other IT Product Owners having requests,  clearly communicating goals and requirements to delivery teams. 
  • Ensure that all digital touchpoints comply with accessibility standards, data protection policies, and cybersecurity requirements. 
  • Support the team in removing blockers and enabling efficient collaboration and delivery. 
  • Serve as the central point of contact for digital product performance and improvement planning. 
  • Engage stakeholders across Digital & IT and relevant business units to align on delivery timelines, requirements, and dependencies. 

The Team

You will be part of Loyalty Solutions within SAS Digital & IT and will be assigned part of our product portfolio. 

 

The team develops and maintains most of the core profile, customer authentication, and identity platforms, and builds products and services available to our customers and EuroBonus members, including profile services, online member pages, partner integrations (credit cards, car rental, hotels, and more), and SkyTeam Alliance loyalty integrations. The team also provides backend services to internal IT teams, enabling their product roadmaps together with their commercial stakeholders. The team also drives loyalty fraud prevention and account security. 

To be successful we believe you have

  • Strong ability to translate business needs into actionable technical tasks and user stories. 
  • Proven experience managing digital product roadmaps and backlogs. 
  • Solid understanding of agile and SAFe-like delivery environments, working with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA). 
  • Familiarity with modern UX/UI practices, digital accessibility, data privacy, and secure development principles. 
  • Experience with agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence. 
  • Excellent understanding of customer experience, digital standards, and performance monitoring. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Digital Product Development, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in digital product ownership, product management, or technical project management. 
  • Experience in agile, SAFe-like delivery environments, especially working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Familiarity with modern UX/UI practices, digital accessibility, data privacy, and secure development principles. 
  • A background in the airline, travel, or e-commerce industries is an advantage.  
    Experience specifically within customer authentication & security, loyalty programs, fraud prevention or similar domains is particularly valued.
