Your Role
As a Legal Counsel at SAS, you will provide timely, accurate, and business-oriented legal assessments and advice across the SAS Group. Your primary focus will be on handling commercial agreements with suppliers, agents, and partners. In addition to contract law, your work may include advising on IT law, regulatory matters, marketing law, passenger and consumer rights, data protection issues, and providing internal training.
The department also handles competition law, leasing and finance law, and corporate law. This is an international role involving close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Challenges you will work on
• Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Advising business stakeholders on legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Supporting projects and initiatives across multiple areas of law, including IT, regulatory, and consumer rights.
• Providing internal training and guidance on legal compliance.
• Collaborating with external advisors and internal teams to ensure high-quality legal support.
The Team
You will join the SAS Legal Department, consisting of legal counsels in Sweden and Denmark. We are a positive and collegial team that values engagement, participation, and collaboration to achieve results.
To be successful, we believe you have
• Swedish law degree.
• Minimum five years of qualified legal experience from a company and/or law firm.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple complex issues in parallel and take ownership of matters end-to-end.
• Strong business-oriented and pragmatic mindset while maintaining integrity.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Service-oriented attitude, initiative, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
