As Tax & Financial Controller you will be able to contribute to an effective collaboration between the two finance functions: Tax and Financial Control. The Tax Function, part of Group Finance, has overall accountability for taxes across the SAS Group. We play an important role when it comes to optimization, risk management and compliance. The objective for Financial Control is to deliver timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with external and internal policies, rules, and regulations. 

To continue ensuring compliance and developing our processes, we are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Tax & Financial Controller. We believe a successful candidate for this position strives for delivering robust and reliable financial statements and tax calculations, is an ambassador of internal control, has an in-depth understanding of accounting and tax processes and continuously seeks new and better ways to meet this commitment. 

The job is full time, based in HQ at Frösundavik, Stockholm. Your time and commitment will be shared between Tax and Financial Control. You will report to Director, Head of Group Tax. 
 

As Tax & Financial Controller you will inter alia:

-    Prepare/review tax calculations and income tax returns. 
-    Evaluate, monitor and improve the tax reporting processes.
-    Prepare country-by-country reporting.  
-    Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with new requirements, e.g. under Pillar 2. 
-    Coordinate and participate in connection to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. 
-    Deliver month end closing and report to SAS group accounting.
-    Carry out balancing and reconciliation of accounts and financial statements.
-    Perform annual accounting responsible tasks, such as annual reports and documentation for audits.
-    Secure financial compliance. 
-    Supervise and support accounting outsourcing processes. 
-    Support other finance operations (AP/AR).
-    Drive process efficiency and automation/digitalization. 

To be successful, we believe you should have:
-    Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, tax or law. 
-    Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an auditor or as an accountant with documented skills within tax accounting. 
-    Basic knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
-    Ambition to keep up to date of legislative changes etc.
-    Excellent communication skills, be fluent in written and spoken business English + one Scandinavian language.
-    Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience working in ERP systems, e.g. Oracle.  
-    Experience from working in a multinational organization.
