Tax Manager

The Tax Function, part of Group Finance, has overall accountability for taxes across the SAS Group. We play an important role when it comes to optimization, risk management and compliance for the many legal entities, branches and business units. To continue and strengthen our support, we are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Tax Manager, focusing on indirect tax and transfer pricing. The job is full time, based in HQ at Frösundavik, Stockholm. You will report to Director, Head of Group Tax.

As Tax Manager you will inter alia:


  • Develop the group strategy and processes for VAT and other indirect taxes.
  • Provide high-quality support on indirect tax matters to various departments within the organization.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to indirect tax.
  • Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation and ensure compliance with new requirements.  
  • Act as point of contact towards tax authorities and auditors.
  • Act as Operational Lead for transfer pricing compliance, with responsibility for preparation/review of documentation (master file and local files), review of benchmarks and intercompany agreements.
  • Manage country-by-country reporting and MDR (e.g. DAC6) reporting compliance.  

To be successful, we believe you should have:


  • University degree, LLM, MBA or equivalent.  Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within the field of indirect tax (particularly VAT) and transfer pricing, working as a tax consultant and/or as an in-house tax specialist.
  • Ambition to stay up-to-date and on top of legislative changes etc.
  • General accounting knowledge (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
  • Excellent communication skills, be fluent in written and spoken business English + one Scandinavian language.
  • Advanced skills in MS office.
  • Experience from working in a multinational organization.
  • Good business understanding of the airline industry. Previous experience is an advantage.
