Resource Management is a central function within an airline and has the overall responsibility for ensuring that all SAS flights are manned. Resource Management consists of about 40 individuals, and the department has five units. Three optimization units, one unit responsible for crew related data and one responsible for training planning. Each team consist of 5-10 employees and team leader. 
As Training Coordinator, you will be a key player in the training process. Your responsibility will include coordination of input and creation of training plan for pilots for the coming training season, both new-hired pilots but also internal movements of pilots. This will include coordination regarding pilots with SAS recruitment team, the airlines within the SAS group our crew companies and the Industrial Relations department. Furthermore, as Training Coordinator, you will maintain and drive the development of the processes regarding training of crew, and clarifying, and be part of implementation of training prerequisites to ensure training is carried out - in the most efficient way.


You will, together with your great colleagues, work on our processes and procedures to be able to continuously improve the training planning, to keep flight safety our main priority as well as to make it even better from crew’s perspective and to improve efficiency, by always keeping focus on cost. It is an important process where you will be able to use your experience, creativity and skills and quickly see the result.
 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Coordinate input regarding pilot availability and that all requirements for training are met.
•    Set long term training plan based on input regarding fulfillment of requirements for training and availability. And during the year maintain and updated this plan through coordination of new or updated input from all relevant stakeholders.
•    Clarify and be part of implementation of changes for training prerequisites from all AOC’s within the SAS Group.
•    Ensure that all training demand and changes are communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
•    Document our ways of working and identify problem areas and drive development of these internally in Resource Management as well as together with our internal Training Departments
•    Follow up on our Key Performance Indicators

Who are you?

We are primarily looking for you who have previous experience from a similar field (e.g. crew planning, training planning, crew training, people logistics within the airline industry). If you have an academic background, preferably in logistics, this is meriting as well. 


Due to the nature of the role, with input and coordination from multiple organizations within SAS. You will need to have good skills in stakeholder management and have a drive to get information and processes in place and be able to question input when needed. You are structured, responsible and can keep track of details, while at the same time keep a good overview and have a wider perspective. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed and at the same time you’re happy to support your colleagues when they need support. 


Furthermore, you are an experienced Microsoft Office user with a good background in Excel. You are fluent in written and spoken English and it is highly meriting if you understand the Scandinavian languages. 

Desired qualifications:

•    At least 3 years of previous relevant experience (e.g. crew planning, training planning, crew training, people logistics etc., preferably from the airline industry) 
•    Previous work experience that involves a high degree of stakeholder management or project management
•    Knowledge of Jeppesen CMS-suite and good understanding of flight safety and FTL/OM-A is highly meriting
•    Good analytical skills
•    Dynamic, outgoing and high degree of drive
•    Good communication skills both written and oral
•    Fully proficient in Office 365 with high degree of focus on Excel
